A wonderful adventure in the ale train! Great fun and good views. A unexpected bonus is that the musician was fantastic. I live here but had never done this trip before. Plan to do again for sure.
I’ve been to Santa Fe several times, but I have never heard of the Sky Railway train experience. The sunset ride was one of the coolest things my family and I have done in a long time. Austin was a great server who took care of us. Austin was so sweet and we really appreciated the service we were provided. The drinks were delicious, and the views were incredible. Makes me miss the southwest and their amazing sunsets. This is a MUST do! None of us wanted it to end.
Such a great time! Amazing staff and live music was great. It's a must do if you're ever in the area. We did the sunset ride and it was beyond perfect.
This recently revived railway and experience is a must see when visiting Santa Fe. Spearheaded by the George R.R. Martin, the creative force behind the Game of Thrones franchise, the railway consists of a number of restored and renovated cars and miles of railway, that take you into the desert outside of Santa Fe.
You can book a number of different trips, we selected the Sunset one. Our booking came with seats in the restored Acoro Car, and included a package of drinks and snacks (you can also buy those during the trip). We had live entertainment as well.
The highlight is the open air car, allowing access to the elements and some spectacular sights and scenery. The staff is excellent, helpful with photos and a knowledge about the area.
Make time for this during your visit if you want some of the best photos you will take on your trip.
The Sky Railway is a fun option to explore the Santa Fe area. Each car has a different theme to it, from history to sunset serenade to a Prohibition-era speakeasy to stargazing. The staff is really fantastic, and each car has musical talent. Bonus: all of the train scenes filmed in "Oppenheimer" were filmed on Sky Railway.
We chartered a train for an event. It was a short moment in time (2 hours went by way to quick) that I will never forget. It was wonderful. Our family and friends enjoyed it so much. Dawn helped us coordinate, Kai was the conductor... staff awesome. Can't say enough about this experience. I recommend anyone to do this, well worth it. That New Mexico sky is something special. Drinks and snacks great! Also the trains are so cool!

It was so magical, like a couple hours were everything else goes away. Service amazing! And music performer even better! (Altough he does need to learn some newer stuff, like Counting Star).
We don't have plans to return to Santa Fe anytime soon, but this was the best part of our vacation. If we did return I would do it again. Life's short... you can always make more money if your willing to work..... BUT you cannot ever recreate a missed memory....
This was a good thing for my family. The train was beautiful and cozy. We were 5 people and they have accommodate us in one section of the train that was great. We loved the whole ride and stuff were very good and attentive. We did had a lovely time of our journey and enjoyed it very much. Will do different train with the same company for sure.
